The European Voluntary Service project presented is part of a line of action developed by TACC called VITAMINE-Culture which promotes the implementation of artistic activities for the social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. The volunteer's tasks will be based on their motivations and interests and focused in the projects developed within VITAMINE-Culture for this period of time: CIRCuit SOCIAL (a social circus project), Taller de Teatre Musical contra el Bullying (empowering young people susceptible to bullying), VITAMINE-Culture (empowering youth people with fewer economic and social opportunities that have artistic interests). The objective of this EVS project is to enable the voluntary to develop art projects for social inclusion, acquiring in turn personal, social and professional autonomy capabilities that will help him/her to emancipate.
The young volunteer will be able to decide how to participate in the actions according to their abilities and needs. Hence, he/she will be able either to participate more directly in the activities by supporting their logistics, or to participate in their administration and organization, participating in its management and coordination. Moroever, since TACC is an organization which fosters creativity, it will promote the development of a personal project by the volunteer, within the line of action VITAMINE-Culture, and which will include one or more activities which use art for social inclusion. Therefore it is intended to promote the acquisition of capabilities through non-formal and informal education. Likewise, the volunteer will attend trainings before the start of the EVS (cultural and linguistic) and during the EVS (linguistic, logistics and organizational functioning of the organization and its projects).
The volunteer will be a youngster aged 18 to 30 years, with a certain interest in working with young people with fewer opportunities and the arts. The volunteer will have to be motivated to learn about the functioning of a young and artistic organization and will be willing to live an international experience. The project partner will be the Italian company XENA, with wide experience in the area of international mobility and with special experience in the EVS. Moreover, one of the most important strategies of the italian association is the use of art for social inclusion, hence being able to actively participate in the election of a volunteer with the right profile for this project and to provide him/her with training before the EVS and support during the EVS.
This project is expected to develop skills for personal, social and professional in the voluntary autonomy and their knowledge of art techniques for social inclusion. It is also expected to benefit the local community, since the proposed activities within the line of action that the project of volunteerism are addressed to local youth and partner association can implement art programs for social inclusion is part through the knowledge acquired during the coordination of volunteers.
Finally, this is a project which will have a positive impact on the social cohesion of the communities where it will take place. It will also havea positive impact on the perception of the European Voluntary Service as a training tool for young people. Finally it will have a positive impact locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, on the perception of art as a tool for social inclusion thankss to the broadcast channels provided by TACC.
