VT will allow A.C.T.O.R. to continue the development of a long term strategy, that started in 2008 and involves 8 EVS volunteers from 8 different countries who will be hosted in Romania for 12 months to cooperate with eachother and with partners involved in the educational and medical enviroment from Bucharest and rural areas, in order to create a socio-educational animation, using artistic methods, an –art animation- program designed for children and youngsters, especially for the disadvantaged ones. The objectives of the project:1. Stimulate the use of the arts with emphasis on performing in education, usig cross-sectorial interactions between nonformal and formal education, in order for:A. the 8 EVS volunteers to gain new competencies in planning or confirming a career in art-education.B. more than 150 teachers to develop skills in art-education and in intercultural communication as a process of continuos training in their teaching career. 2. Development of a tolerant attitude through awareness and assuming the values of our own cultural identity and through improving civic-social competencies among the recipients:- direct recipients: 8 EVS volunteers; 5000 children between the ages of 3 and 11 and over 150 teachers.- indirect recipients: over 10000 parents and young members of the 8 communities of the EVS volunteers. 3. developing the feeling of active citizenship on the level of the communities involved in the hosting process (800 high-school and university students from Bucharest, Codlea, Oltenita, etc.), and the 8 communities of the EVS volunteers.VT comes in the context of a partnership with over 70 schools, kindergartens and high-schools that has been going on for a while now, which positively influences the growth in quality of the formal educational program by making Romanian pedagogues adopt various methods of the "art animation" proposed by A.C.T.O.R. through volunteers or inspired by their own scholastic experience from the volunteers' countries. The project will produce, in this way, through the direct involvement of the volunteers, a large amount of audio, video and multimedia materials which will be publicly exposed on the internet so they would be used by the pedagogues of all of Europe for educative activities regarding cultural diversity. The project will continue to offer through the partnership with MENCS and CCD Bucharest, certificates to all the Romanian pedagogues involved in direct cooperation with the volunteers, certificates for recognizing their art animation competences and their intercultural communication and cooperation skills. In this way, the project creates a bridge between non formal and formal (with a national visibility) education. Involving a high number of local and national partners will result in a solid consortium for the development of new Erasmus+ projects, which can happen by constructively activating the partnerships with the European NGOs of the VT partneships: organizations coming from Austria, Croatia, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Spain, Great Britain and Portugal.
