The trianing course ""Visualise Europe - AudioVisualArt in Youth Work"" is developed for and from young people who participate in youth-media-groups which work with children and young people in this field.
The creation of audio-visual works (like short-movies, videoclips, documentations, etc. ...) as a path to stimulate a wide ranch of personal-, social- and (inter-)cultural competences can be an important factor in personal and professional development of young people. It provides also an opportunity to participate in democratic processes and express and exchange opinions about social, cultural, evironmental or policial topics concerning the EU and the europeen-society.
During the eight days training course we will implement activities, exercises and group-works which strengthen basics skills and competences in the field of media pedagogy: tecnic competence of media as an instrument of pedagogical work with children and youngsters, participative methods to create audio-visual works, intercultural competence and organisation, planning and financing of media-projects, and exploration and exchange of best creative practice. One new strategy of realizing works, which we want to look closer, are the projects known as „Low Cost“. They are caracterized by their low costs, but also quality, professionality and originality.
In the project we will create a platform for the young creatives from different countries to learn, exchange and explore about the european landscape of audio-visual art, creative youth-work, forms of public and private funding and different tecnics and methods of educational media production.
The training will improve the communication skills of the professionals to develope and manage grups of youngsters in audio-visual and intereuropean projects. Furthermore we will demonstrate different possibilities for employment in public and private sector on the european job-market.
Also we will explore how audio-visual works can be a vehicule to transport social-topics like human rights, european citizenship or the importance of public participation to children and youngsters.
The training course will contribute not only to the personal development of the participants, but also promote exchange of best practices and establishment of new connections among all over the Europe.
