Valga County in Estonia and Valka District in Latvia have a long history of co-operation together. The idea of joint development of IT sector is a logical course of the sustainable cross-border co-operation in Valga-Valka region. The project Virtual Community of the Valga-Valka Region is the initiative of two partners from Estonia and Latvia. The Lead Partner of the project is Association of Local Authorites of Valgamaa. Project partner is Valka District Council from Latvian side. Project?s main objective is to create a virtual community of Valga-Valka region. Project aids to elaboration of sustainable co-operation network for promoting cross-border co-operation in the field of information technology.
