Viking Voyagers is a multilateral youth exchange for 25 youth between the ages of 14-17. This seven day youth exchange targets socially excluded youth with fewer opportunities from Sweden, Slovenia, Kosovo, Serbia and Czech Republic. It will take place from 25th of April 2009 2nd of May 2009 in southern Sweden, in the beautiful towns and forests of Småland and Skåne. Over the course of Viking Voyagers, the youth will share experiences and build their self-esteem while gaining skills and tools needed to take a more active role in society by creating their own society using a ?viking? theme. During the participating youth?s shared ?viking voyage? in nature, the youth will be actively engaged in teambuilding activities, sports & games, camping, paddling, and art & theater. Viking Voyagers will use the shared youth experience outdoors with experiential learning methods of the action learning cycle, colloboration, exploration, hands-on learning, non-verbal communication, role playing & simulations, and presentations to accomplish the goals and objectives of the youth exchange.
