If you ask a student from our school what he would like most to do at the ending of the instruction stage, he would answer without doubt that he would able to live and work in a safe place with people who accept and help him or her to become on their own feet, instead of difficulties imposed by their deficiency which marks him. Therefore, it is important to find quality educational services.Those who daily take part to the students’ life in this school, are the teachers, souls trainers, dedicated teachers, familiar with the problems and wishes of the students who need identification and application of modern teaching strategies in practical and theoretical activities applied to the students with mental, sensory and associated deficiencies from the professional education and special technological high school in order to increase employment opportunities and personal development. Liceul Special Sfânta Maria Arad ranks on the first place in our country regarding the wide range of educational offer (kindergarden, primary and secondary school, high school, special technological high school, vocational school and post high school, boarding and canteen),which it provides.In current socio- economical context, our school offers a maximum possible regarding professional education and integration of a students with mental, sensory and associated deficiencies.The project will ensure the obtaining of key and technical competences from Annex 2 of OMECTS no.4463/12.07.2010, from the 10th grade curricula, Technological way with the title "Transition from school to active life".The project „The future through our eyes” appeared as an answer to the needs of the students and teachers from our school and aims to achieve the following objectives:O1. The foundamentation of practical knowledge – supplying new information(specific), needed for carrying on the baker-pastry cook, locksmith, and ecologist technician qualification in a structured and integrated way, easy to follow, folden on psycho-educational needs of the students with mental, sensory and associated deficiencies.O2. Development of professional skills for 16 students with mental, sensory and associated deficiency from food industry, mechanic area and environment protection through participation at practical activities and by using the latest technologies from their field of activity.O3. Development of pedagogical competences by using specific methods for 12 teachers/trainers involved in youngs/students training with mental, sensory and associated deficiencies through participation to a traineeships.O4.The transfer of accomplished competences during the project mobilities through „Waterfall method” to a 15 students.O5. Development of linguistic and cultural skills related to European area. The main activities performed during mobility are:For students- Practical activities at economic agents in Greece- Debates, round tables, experiments- Cultural activitiesFor teachers/trainers- Debates and round tables, activities in similar schools- Job shadowing activities - Workshops - Cultural activitiesThe Expected outcomes of the project are:Students will learn in an European context where they will practice, aquiring a new outlook on work, which will mark the rest of their professional activity. Thus, they easily could apply the new acquired knowledge at the time of insertion on the labor market. Students will develop their independent living skills that would make them more autonomous, thus fulfilling the role of school "to give them wings", they will develop their capacity to adapt to a new socio economical environment, cultural and linguistic skills.Teachers will develop their knowledge by finding new working methods and work techniques which they can use in their later didactic activity , they will develop lingvistic and cultural skills. Trainers from target group of the project, at the returning from mobility could train specialists in Methodical commission, elaborating a Guide from specific curricula (that they teach), to the teachers who haven’t participated to the project. The project's impact will be a positive one, our school professionalizing students which will support local community development by providing certificated employers in the food industry, mechanical area and environment protection. The project ensure an opening to the economic environment requirements, thus, being able to start new partnerships with the entrepreneurs that will lead to the school’s promotion. Being a special school, on national level, by publishing in a magazine dedicated to blind people " Litera noastră", our school will promote and further improve its educational offer .At the international level, thanks of aquired experience in carrying out projects from the Erasmus+programme , will determine the increase of the number of partnerships with similar schools from European area.
