By means of this project the colaboration between ERAIKEN- CIFP Construcción LHII in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) and the Lycée des Métiers Leonard De Vinci in Blanquefort (France) has gone on. Both schools work in the scope of construction and related areas, with a relatively short geographic distance, and being in the same EuroRegión.
In the first project year, two students of Decoration and rehabilitation works, a student of Furnishing and wood installation and a student of Heat production installations have benefitted from the scholarships in companies of their professional area, apart from receiving complemetary studies in the host centre. During the second year, two Technicians in construction, three Decoration and rehabilitation works technicians, and two students of Heat production installations have moved to France, two of them granted with a zero grant.
In the same way eight teachers have known the French Vocational Educational Training, and have been able to practice in the technical facilities of the homologous center.
Like counterpart, ERAIKEN has hosted in the school nineteen teachers from France, and in the school and companies the apprenticeship of nineteen students from Blanquefort.
In order to continue with this collaboration, a new joint project has been asked for, summing up another similar school from Zilina (Slovakia).
After these mobilities, the personnel and students in ERAIKEN have verified the viability and the benefits of the mutual interchange. A proof of it is the interest shown by teachers of both schools in taking part in more interchanges, already agreed to between the professionals of both countries and with clear objectives in their learning process. The employability of students has also been improved, even if some of them have chosen to continue studying.
