The building sector is a cornerstone of the EU climate protection program and has an important role to play in the achievement of the Europe2020 strategy. However, the plethora and mismatch of building regulations at EU and national levels leads to considerable administrative burdens. There is today a clear need for a harmonisation of tools and processes for an integrated perspective on nearly zero emission buildings in the Alpine Space and beyond. Many regions in the Alpine Space have accumulated excellent know-how in this field particularly also through ASP funded projects. This project aims at valorisation of results of running and closed ASP projects in the field of low-carbon economy and energy efficiency with a particular focus on an integrated perspective of nearly zero emission buildings. The project will focus on identification and dissemination of results and will contribute to make the Alpine Space visible as thematic leader on EU level in this field. Achievements: The project identified analysed 22 EU-funded projects from the thematic field of low-carbon economy and energy efficiency. The analysis was carried out with an electronic questionnaire and telephone interviews. So far 56 relevant outputs produced by these projects have been identified for further capitalisation and dissemination. In order to analyse the national institutional frameworks for planning and construction of public buildings, the project developed a questionnaire and started to collect information. For communication and dissemination purposes the project set up a website and developed a project leaflet in four languages. Also a detailed communication and dissemination strategy was developed by the project consortium. The needs and contents of a toolkit for dissemination activities have been discussed with other projects and agreed upon.
