VALORI: Valorize the differences by training, inclusion and job paths
The integration of social and work policies allows the recognition and valorisation of the working role of disadvantaged persons as a resource which can be usefully employed within the manufacturing system, with evident advantages both in social terms and for the companies involved. We can therefore summarise the main problems which this project intends to address as the lack of an adequate promotion of equal opportunities for all in access to and permanence in the work world, with particular reference to those who are at risk of social exclusion, and in the lack of structured models of continuous and permanent training aimed at the creation of truly inclusive work environments where disadvantaged persons (often introduced into companies solely to meet their legal obligations) are effectively valorised and understood as a resource to be employed in the company context. The project therefore aims to transfer a training model useful to construct more inclusive work environments through the training of company personnel with “open” modules and tools aimed at experimenting and defining (in accordance with SA 8000 certification parameters) behavioural models which are relevant to the entire company structure. For this purpose the experiments and results of the Equal – Coast Revitalization (IT-G-TOS-016) project will be used. In order to provide adequate support and immediate transferability of the above to the European context, a partnership was chosen between parties who had already had significant experience in the areas under consideration and which are themselves part of local and international networks. The Partnership consists, in a transnational level, of one Hungarian, one England and one German organisations, one of which also has a branch in Belgium. Other Italian partners are 5 provinces of the Tuscany region. The Hungarian partner will transfer the project activities in their own context so as to be able to better study the applicability of the training models to be defined. Proper conduct of the project will bring real results in the area where the activity takes place and these will be translated into models of training modules for company structures. Some results will not be immediately tangible, such as the activation of virtuous circles of project-creation, which will contribute to the improvement of both general employment figures and those which refer specifically to disadvantaged users. All this will have an impact which will have consequences at the level of provincial planning of training provision.
