PROJECT
FINISHED
The project is going to be implemented under the Erasmus+ programme Key Action 1, hosted by a Hungarian organization, called Magonc Foundation. The main activity of the project will be a camp hosting 5 organizations from 5 European countries: Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania and Romania. Each organization can send 6-10 participants between the age of 14-18 and a youth leader. The total number of the participants will be 40 with the group leaders. The camp will be held in Godollo, Hungary from the 05th to 14th of September 2016, for 10 days of activities. The main theme and focus of the camp is the relation between environmental issues and local community solutions. Through sharing, interactive activities, practices and games, the project will focus on global environmental and social issues, local food communities and community solutions, youth citizenship and awareness. The whole camp is based on non-formal education practices and tools in order to let the participants recognize and realise the good ways to follow by themselves, through the following methods: small/big group work, role plays, simulations, participatory experiences, etc.Based on the characteristics of a youth exchange, the nature of the program will be informal. Discovering each other’s culture, making friendships and visiting the main attractions of the area (including Budapest, world heritage baths, castles, etc.) will be at least as important as the “professional goals” and learning activities. The main practical result of the project will be that the participants become aware of solutions and possible methods to solve global environmental and social probelms. In addition, the project will also develop competences of the participants, such as cooperating skills, active citizenship, communication in a foreign language, and social awareness as well.
