UnWasted ( "no waste" ) is a multilateral youth exchange involving young people from youth organizations from five EU countries: Malta, Netherlands, Croatia, Romania, Czech Republic and Spain. The Spanish organization "DESES-3", from Medina del Campo, is the hosting and organizer ngo of the event. The exchange took place 19th - 28th August 2014 on one of the natural complex of Castilla y Leon region, Arribes del Duero, in the small village of Muga de Sayago, where 54 young Europeans making all kinds of recreational and educational activities to grab strengthen their education process to become citizens assets in search of change and improvement in our future. In this case, the subject developed the management of urban solid waste and recycling techniques currently used in our local communities. Young analyzed the methods used in their local environments, and through visits to specialized centers, displays examples, lectures, and other dynamic experiential exchanges, tryed to establish a serie of measures to improve waste management systems of their locations. Moreover, the exchange aims to give a new approach to youth employment and entrepreneurship of our youth, for which different dynamics of self-knowledge and personal skills utilization will be performed to detect if any of the young, so vocational, could lead to out an entrepreneur or employment in the field of waste management project. The main idea of the exchange is the creation of a new urban waste management technique, that we can present to the public entities of our origin local communities and even resulting in an entrepreneurial private sector to carry them out. We,ve created a handbook of innovative waste management ideas, technical data and calculating the potential investment to carry them out, facilitating the implementation once in our hometowns. To enhance the output and dissemination of results, we made information leaflets to interact with the local community. We also spoke at any of the neighbours in the area to transport concerns about recycling.   Using the methodology of non-formal education, fostering teamwork and creativity, we want to educate young people to be directors and actors both their learning process and the decisions that contribute to their social future, both in environmental themes and other issues of interest to society.
