Building upon a previous learning partnership that had researched and reflected upon the skills required for efficient multicultural communication, partners from 5 European countries came together to develop and host an In-Service Training (IST) course aimed at adult educators working in the non-formal education sector. The goal of the course was to enable participants to better understand the principles, tools and mechanisms associated with multiculturalism and participants were able to gain an insight into the specific competencies required for intercultural learning and learning in a multicultural environment, and to observe ways that these skills can be used in everyday teaching.
