The multilateral youth exchange " United by skate -high 5 ! " with the five participating countries Germany , Austria , Spain , Czech Republic and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia took place in Chemnitz / Germany from 11th to 25th of august 2014 and represented a thematical continuation and extension of the networking and cooperation of the four participating associations from previous years, which was extenden in 2014 by a new group of participants from Macedonia. There participated two supervisors and ten teenagers or young adults per partner country, who were associated with the sport -oriented youth cultures Skatboarding , BMX and Inline and partially suffered from different social disadvantages. Besides experience-oriented activities and various public events to involve the local environment, the workshops within the field of intercultural learning were orientated on the implementation of a youth welfare project with the aim to construct of a public skatepark for disadvantaged young people in Argentina. In this sense the aspects of intercultural understanding and the commitment against poverty and social exclusion were connected with the youth culture component of the exchange. During the project period all participants were included in a process of project development with a maximum of participation using the catalytic role of the referenced youth culture to promote social engagement and the cooperation of young people from the five participating countries in a charitable aid project .
