The new management of the Hungarian Shipping Secondary School started reforming its training and educational system two years ago. Till this moment we have worked out the basic elements. At this point we would like to build in different experiences from similar institutions to elaborate the details. The new National Training Registry is being developed and there will new professions taught only at our school. In addition, in Hungary we are the only shipping secondary school; therefore, we need to keep in touch with foreign schools and training organizations. This is the reason why we would like to study foreign institutions and companies. The mobility of this project is a job shadowing in Spain at schools similar to ours. Furthermore, our mobility gives us the opportunity to prepare a 2017 summer practice for our students by visiting the companies and ships where we would like to provide our students with practice.Our job shadowing mobility would take place in autumn 2016.We would like to gain experience by studying the educational systems, the teaching methods, the curriculums and the dual training structures of the host institutions to make our system harmonize with the EU training systems and to give better chance to our students.Our six colleagues who take part in the project - and the mobility - are teachers of our school. The deputy headmaster represents the management of the school and he is the organizer of the project. Besides, the team consists of the leader of the practical training, the colleague who works on the details of the new National Training Registry, a language teacher of technical English to improve foreign language competence and two teachers of different technical subjects.During the preparation phase we constantly communicate with our partners, we prepare ourselves by a language training and we study the partners in advance. All the members have roles in the preparation and we work as a self training team. During the mobility we will evaluate and discuss the project day by day. After the mobility all team members will take part in evaluating, spreading, integrating and maximizing the achievements of the whole project. We will present these achievements to our colleagues in and out of the school, on our website, youtube channel, facebook page and in printed forms. We would like to inform our students and prospective students about the outcome of the project, especially the summer practice preparation.As for the long-term results of the project, we expect our training to harmonize with the EU standard at a high level. Moreover, we would like to establish international cooperation, to motivate our colleagues and students. In addition, we will prepare our first international summer practice. As a long term result we expect more new students and less drop-out students.
