This project aims to host a young Italian named Sarah for 10 months within the "Association Familles Rurales Intercommunale Enfance Jeunesse" ( AFRIEJ ) , located in the territory of Saumur, Maine et Loire.
Host a young European volunteer is a new experience for the association. With many European experiences ( youth exchange in Lithuania , participation of the Director in Leonardo Partnerships project , study visitsz to Brussels, study visits in Hungary ), the local association wish to continue its activities toward Europe and strengthen the European opening in the structure.
The main topic of this project is the involvment of European citizenship among rural families especially with young people.
Sarah's hosting contributes to the development of European activities in the association and on the territory. The association daily works daily with families , children and youth. Thus, hosting a European volunteer will bring mutual enrichment to all our actions and our public. She will mainly in the fields of childhood animation and youth .
She will participate in:
- Awareness of children, youth and families in rural areas of Europe and the European mobility
- The participation and support for the implementation of animation projects
Her work in the association aims to make it accessible to youth, families, volunteers , design and implementation of a European project in the context of non-formal education and intercultural approach . To do this , she will share her experiences with youth, families, volunteers and employees to create a concrete European dynamic and promote European citizenship in rural
