The project aims at improving the teaching at our own school by learning from colleagues at the partner school in Bremerhaven. This is planned to happen through job shadowing, conferences, and other subject /methododical related work between the teachers at both schools. Four teachers from one school visit the other school and vice a versa each of the two years, in groups of two, which means visiting and hosting twice a year. Between the visits there will be frequent contact between coordinators and teachers at the two schools. It is an aim of the school to prepare the students for a future career in a globalized world , and thus an objective to give the most appropriate teaching. We consider foreign languages and knowledge about Europe and European/international conditions and systems an important basis for their future career. We think there is much to learn from cooperation with colleagues in general, but even more from colleagues in a different system, different culture and teaching conditions. The experience gathered by the participating teachers will be dissiminated to the school and colleagues at other schools through various subject related fora and conferences. With the vision of heightening the quality of the teaching in a European perspective, we find it a unique opportunity to take part in this project.
