Hayat Boyu Eğitimi Geliştirme ve Meslek Edindirme Derneği(HEGMED) was established in 2013 with the aims of: meeting education and training needs of the society; contributing to a welfare society at the highest scientific, cultural and social level; integrating disadvantaged people to the society by increasing their knowledge, experience and culture; integrating young people who are neither in education nor at work to the labor market by increasing their occupational skills and knowledge; introducing alternative perspectives to the problems of society. Our project concept was derived from the Erasmus + Guidelines- Adult Education Program priority areas which says: “Priority will be given to projects which promote learning opportunities to adults ,who do not have skills, by encouraging adults to learn, validating informal and non-formal learning and increasing access to career guidance systems ”. With the misuse and abuse of technology, degrading family structure, increasing population and crime levels, substance using individuals has become one of the biggest problems of the our society. This has led us to establish our association in Kirikkale with the participation of various experts and academicians who provide social services at different levels. Our project objectives are: -Increasing occupational skills of 29social workers -Increasing quality of social services in Kırıkkale by organizing workshops and meetings on current situation of social services in our city and how to improve them - Social services in Turkey are provided by public while in Europe these services are provided in cooperation with civil society organizations. Therefore we aim to increase competence of our civil society organization as well as public organizations in Kirikkale - Increasing the quality of social services in our city and country -Decreasing school drop-outs rate in Kirikkale - Raising awareness in Kirikkale regarding domestic violence, violence against women, juvenile delinquency and child abuse and introducing different approaches to these problems - Increasing human resources capacity of our association Number and profile of participants; 1- HEGMED; 7 participants from our association who at least completed their undergraduate education and who are academicians, psychologists, occupational teachers and career counselors. 2- Kirikkale Probabation Directorate; 8 participants who are working at Training and Development Office of Kirikkale Probation Directorate, all of whom are teachers, sociologist, social workers and psychologists. 3- Ministry of Family and Social Policy Provincial Directorate Society Centre: 7 participants from the centre who are teachers, psychologists, sociologist and foster mothers. 4- Dosteller Yardımlaşma Dayanışma ve Meslek Edindirme Derneği; 7 participants to be selected from the members of the association who are teachers, academicians, psychologists, occupational teachers and career counselors. Methodology: 1- Establishing project committees, 2- Workshops 3- Training, Observation and evaluation abroad 1h- 4th Days Training activities 5th days Cultural and social visits 6th,7th days, observing social services practices in Europe ,evaluating and reporting trainings and observations 4- Organization of an evaluation meeting and distributing workshop reports 5- Dissemination activities Project results, expected value and long term benefits; 1- The quality of social services will increase in Kirikkale 2- The cooperation between CSOs and public organizations will strengthen 3- Erasmus + will be promoted in Kirikkale 4- The difference between social service provision in our country and European countries will be examined and best practices will be integrated to our services. 5- Social state understanding will be promoted 6- CSOs will be informed on social services provision 7- Community will receive better social services in Kirikkale. Integration of disadvantaged people to society will be ensured. 8- European citizenship will be disseminated 9- Good citizenship concept will be promoted. 10- Capacity building of public organizations will be ensured.
