The project - Cultural Diversity Under the Common Sky - involves 9 youngsters of Pärnu Little Freescool and 14 youngsters of Refsvindige Friskole. The goal: That the students experience cultural diversity as a strength in order to promote understanding and tolerance among youngsters in EU and increase their understanding of citizenship and social solidarity in EU.Before the meeting in September-October the youngsters of both countries will make reports after carrying on an inquiry. The information they find will be the background for the one day conference. The content of the conference is based on the following themes, which are closely related to the youngsters family history and daily life:1) among their parents and grandparents to find out the information about their childhood and school time, school traditions.2) among the involved pupils to find outa) What values are important for them as citizens in Estonia and Denmark and as citizens in EU b) What are their dreams for the future3) The youngsters also have to make the reports about the national and school traditions for the mini-seminarThe duration of the conference is 1 day.During the other 5 days the youngsters will have an arrival meeting, cross cultural meeting with drama and music activities, an orienteering game in Odense, a guided tour by Danish youngsters to Hans Christian Andersen's Museum, a following role -play; a sailing tour on Odense river, discussions and workshops, visiting other youngsters nearby in Egebjerg and Ferritslev, a crosscultural handicraft activity, hiking, film night and a party with national dishes, music, folk dances and games introducing both countries-Estonia and Denmark. After the project the students have a feedback conversation via internet about the results.
