Twoja praca, twoja przyszłość.
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Oct 30, 2014 PROJECT  FINISHED

The idea of the project "Your job, your future" came from a group of young people from our project partner organisations from Chojna (Poland), Koszeg (Hungary) and Siret (Romania). Those places are small towns where the possibility of getting a proper job and signing the legal contract with an employer is for the majority of young people not very realistic. The participants of the project would like to check whether it is possible to change this situation. Project "Your job, your future" aims at preparing young people to behave in an active way on the labour market. Our project also aims at: - promoting the spirit of enterprise, - learning about methods of achieving success in getting a new job, - getting to know the procedure of starting a new business, - increasing the activity of young people, - getting to know about the support for young people who start new businesses, - acting against indifference as the way of behaviour of unemployed youth, - building solidarity with young people who are in difficult situation, - getting to know more about vocational and educational mobility programmes supported by EU, - making local politicians realize the problems of young people, - building European identity. There will be 36 young participants (aged 16-19) in the project, 12 from each partner group and 6 adult facilitators. The will be the same number of women and men in the project. The participants of the project will check the formal procedures and methods of support which are used to help young people start their first business, they will find out the unemployment rate among young people, conduct interviews with successful business people, learn about unemployment problems in partner countries, get to know skills and abilities useful in job interviews, find out about the advantages of vocational mobilities offered by EU programmes. Methods typical for non formal education will be used during project activities such as: workshops run by participants, interviews, discussions, role plays, presentations and talks. Project partners assume that the participants will improve their competence of behaving actively on the labour market. Another result of the "Your job, your future" project will be increasing interest in youth unemployment among representatives of local governments in towns where partner groups are from and in other small towns. Partner organisations are planning further cooperation in a form of strategic partnership.
