The project "Tváří v tvář mezinárodní gastronomii" is aimed at the vocational training a group of selected students of Střední škola gastronomie a obchodu Zlín. Our school needs to improve the quality of education at the secondary school and needs to raise the interest in the field. We want to improve especially the area of vocational and language training and we want our pupils to be motivated for further study and professional development in their profession.The project will take the form of a work placement, which will be attended by 10 students of Gastronomy and 5 students of cook - waiter study field. The pupils will work at Mercure hotel, which is a part of the chain ACCOR hotels Hotelbetriebsges.mbH. The participants will be under the guidance of experienced professionals and gain new practical experience and skills and improve their language and communication skills in an otherwise irreplaceable real professional environment. The implementation of the internship will be held in October 2016 and it will be 21 days long (19 working days and 2 days of travelling).Throughout the course of practice the participants will monitored by mentors from the partner organisation and accompanying teachers who will regularly attend the workplace. The participants will be evaluated on the basis of units of learning ECVET by their mentors from the partner organisation. The dissemination of the project will take place at sectoral, regional and international levels, especially in the form of workshops, presentations and web pages.
