PROJECT
FINISHED
At the European level we can observe a concerning decrease for the involvement of youth in voluntary activities. The situation is worse in developing cuntries like Romania, Poland and also Spain, where the level of youth involvement in community life is the lowest in European Union. The problem is emphasized by the current economic context, where the young people can’t reach the labour market due to the lack of practical skills, lack of entrepreneurial education and lack of interest for alternative methods of education.
In this context, the objectives of the project are:
O1. Gain competences using the concept “Learn how to learn” for 6 volunteers from Spain and Poland, during a 9 months EVS stage in Bucharest, Romania, helping them to improve their entrepreneurial skills, involve in community life and better face the phenomenon of unemployment
O2.Develpment of cultural expression attitude for 6 volunteers, trough daily activities in a vast and mixed organisational environment: Youth NGO and Gymnazium School
O3. Increase the quality and volume of youth activities with aproximately 50% in the host organization and gymnazium school, in order to support the trans-sectorial cooperation between youth NGOs and educational system
O4. Inclusion of 3 young volunteers with serious economical and educational problems and create a framework during the EVS stage, so they will accumulate competences that will ease their access on the labour market
For achieving these objectives, we will implement the EVS stage in Bucharest, Romania, for a total duration of 9 months, between 1 September 2014 – 30 May 2015, with the participation of 6 volunteers from Spain and Poland.
The weekly activities implemented during the EVS stage will include:
-Non-formal workshops with children from School 81 in Bucharest for development of Entrepreneurial skills and Finacial Education
-Non-Formal Idea Incubator with Youth from Bucharest
-Development of Youth Initiatives and work in the CPDIS host organization
-Creation of a nonforal methodology for gaining entrepreneurial skills
-Romanian and English languages learning
-Mentorship activities
Expected results and impact:
• 6 volunteers will gain entrepreneurial competetences, cultural expression and “Learn to learn”

• 400 young people from Bucharest and Slatina will be actively involved in “Caravana Educatiei NonFormale”, which will promote and diseminate the results of the project
