"Trough tradition to new jobs" is an international youth exchange project focusing on youth unemployment and creativity. It aims to explore traditions and habits practiced in the old times with regards to modern employment opportunities. The project will take place in Nova Gradiška, in October 2014. It will gather 36 participants from Croatia,Cyprus, Romania, Italy, Slovenia and Hungary and guide them through alternative ways of employment applicable in the aforementioned countries. In particular the project will explore possible ways of turning a Tradition into Employment, offering hands-on experience to traditional professions related to e.g., farming, planting, cooking, arts and crafts, and complementing with valuable knowledge and inspiring ideas for fighting today's unemployment. It aims to foster entrepreneurship whereas at the same time it increases employability of participants. Since pursuing a career is, especially nowadays, a challenging task that requires strong and multi-skilled personality, the project will further contribute to the personal development of participants, and improve the necessary to employment skills, amongst others, self-confidence and creativity. The 10-day exchange experience aims to establish a common platform for network and future collaborations amongst the participating countries.
