Transfer of experiences for the creation of an economy-oriented, work-based VET in the structures of school-oriented educational and training systems
The EU Strategy 2020 gives great importance to improving the quality of vocational training. All citizens should get an education which improves their employability. The activities for the development of VET are oriented to these guidelines. For the national systems this means that qualification programs must be more oriented to the economic needs. This requires to improve the cooperation between VET providers and labor market. VET programs must contribute to impart knowledge, abilities and competences which correspond to the job profiles requested by economy. The project pursued the aim to enhance the collaboration between VET providers and enterprises in the chemistry sector in Poland and Czech Republic. A dialogue among VET providers, economy and VET institutions was initiated. The economic world expressed its expectations (which competences must graduates have?). Some concepts which contribute to get the education closer to the economy in both countries (PL, CZ) were developed and tested. Possibilities to gain work experiences already during the vocational training were opened up and developped. According to this approach, there is a possibility to lower youth unemployment rate.In the consortium were represented some VET providers of the tree partner countries, economic bodies, VET authorities and school administration as well as actors of the European labor market (CEFIC).The Projectleader QFC and the SBG represented in the partnership the German VET system, whose experiences in shaping an praxis-oriented VET were opened up for the partner countries. The transfer project was based on experiences which have their origin in the structures of the dual system of VET in Germany. The German partners of the consortium brought their experiences in the partnership. The Polish and Czech partners went into it, identified which experiences can give an impulse to further develop the respective national system and used them to transfer these experiences in their local environment.
