Training Programme for Local Public Administration in Using Geographical Information Systems and Spatial Database

A world of information: training to use GIS : Databases of geographic information are key tools for planners in public administration. However, the information itself and the ways in which it can be used, have become so sophisticated that only trained personnel can use this vital knowledge to its best advantage. This project has delivered a set of training tools for those working in public administration that can be adapted to local situations. This project started in 2000 and lasted 26 months.
