The Train-Int-Work-Com project will develop a vocational, linguistic & cultural training programme to better effect the integration of immigrants into the labour market and the local community (particular focus industries will be the Fishing Industries in NO & FI and the Metal Processing & Care Sectors in DE).The training programme will focus primarily upon in-company training (with additional elements being developed for use with home-workers) and will target both immigrant workers and the existing workforce in order to achieve more effective integration.Specific modules will be developed to cover language ability, cultural awareness, knowledge of the labour market and labour & social integration with a particular bias upon workplace learning.Results will be produced as both a Handbook & CD-Rom (EN) and will be further distributed through via a dedicated project website, to also feature as a common communication platform for the project partners.The project will involve a number of key players and decision-makers from each of the partner countries thus the programme and materials developed will not be presented to, but expected by lead bodies, as such assuring a willingness to implement the outputs of the project upon completion.
