The project goal is empower a group of 28 young Romanians and Bulgarians to perform activities decreasing drug abuse / drug trafficking and associated risks in 2 regions of two neighboring countries ( Gorj , Romania and Vratsa , Bulgaria ) . PROJECT OBJECTIVES 1. Youth needs assessment regarding access to accurate information and services in preventing drug / and support for people addicted to substances in two European countries - Romania and Bulgaria 2. Development of 28 young Romanians and Bulgarians skills realization of non-formal educational activities in order to achieve behavioral change among young 3. Strengthening the skills of young Romanians and Bulgarians by conducting non-formal educational activities related to tprevention of addiction/ involvement in networks of traffickers and to drug harm reduction , involving 1,000 young beneficiaries of Gorj, Romania and Vratsa , Bulgaria including young people with fewer opportunities The main activity of the project is a bilateral exchange of youths During the 12 months (01/08/2014 - 01/08/2015 ) will be achieved: Organizing teams in Bulgaria and Romania Launching the project Advance Planning Visit Liguistic and intercultural preparation Documentary/ research among young people in the two regions to establish their attitudes and needs in preventing drug addiction and involvement in drug trafficking networks Youth Exchange in Romania for 12 days ( 1- 12 . 03. 2015) , with the participation of 28 young people and two group leaders Main topics will be: - Drugs – classification, action - Drug Risks - health consequences, socio -professional integration , criminal consequences of trafficking - Drug trafficking - definition, statistical data - Recruitment techniques of criminal networks and ways to avoid them - Specific communication techniques in the field, achieving group education sessions - Practical Applications - Development of methods and materials participants working with young people and other disadvantaged groups for drug prevention and risk reduction „Live your own reality” - the transfer of competences acquired by young people through the development of non-formal educational sessions involving other 1000 youths from Gorj , Romania and Vratsa , Bulgaria Final dissemination conference Working methods used in the project will be those of non-formal education : - Brainstorming , presentations, lectures , demonstrations , debates , surveys, dialogue , interviews, open questions , analysis, introspection , ordering and definition exercises , energizing games / ice breakers . All these methods help to streamline the learning process. In the long term , better social integration of young people will have a positive impact on their individual evolution, and on society. Young people will be actively involved in improving the general mentality about crime prevention through awareness of risks arising from involvement in these activities .
