The youth exchange “ Tower of Babel” is a project with young people aged 16-20 from five different countries: Belgium, Italy, Spain, Finland and Slovakia. Six participant from each country, 30 in total along with 5 support workers plan to meet in Oudenaarde in August 2016 for a week of activities including culture, sessions, social actions and accomplisch an event to show what we are doing that week. The exchange will take place from Saturday 30st July to 8th August and will involve sessions about climate, health and nature. There will be different types of nature activities; making a beehotel, going on a bycicle tour, working on the island. This will be interspersed days with inter-cultural activities like a trip to Ghent as well as a concert at The Outsider Club. There will be an final event at the end of the week. This event will be the fair festival, this will be promoted and orginazed by the young people. They will be able to showcase the work of this exchange. We hope to have an impact on the youngsters, we will work on their look on climate change and health. We will show them those topics are not boring and things that politicians speak of. By showing them relevant and achievable hints to work with in their personal life and within their environment.
