Nowadays we have to be more tolerant towards diversity to work more effective together, to reach our goals, to understand each other’s values, to live in peace. Young people are one of the most sensitive part of our society, right after children. Youth might be both – very radical or very open to new cultures, friendly, cooperative and creative. It depends on the way how we treat the youth and how we can support them in their way of discovering this world and their own values, in learning about different cultures and the way to cooperate together. The new youth workers are facing these challenges and they need competences in:• team development, • inter-cultural communication, • be more aware of psychological aspects of processes what the team is going through, to become as an effective team, • be aware of barriers in teamwork and how to overcome them, • how to increase the commitment and the accountability of team members. Making the youth workers more aware of psychological processes in a multicultural team work using the methods "learning by doing" will help to learn how to build the trust, develop the commitment and how to resolve conflicts, to facilitate the collaboration among team members. This project is made in the way that the youth workers will develop teams by them self, will work on project ideas and at the same time will learn on psychological processes in team, exchange their experiences, analyze and develop methods for more effective work in teams. The aim of the project "Towards an effective multicultural team" is to improve the team working skills of youth workers in multicultural environment by using different informal education methods and to make the youth workers more aware on the processes in a multicultural team work.
