The project “Towards 2019”, coordinated by the organisation dall'Associazione Culturale Basilicata Link foresees the realization of two activities:Activity 1 – hosting for European Volunteer Service two young volunteers: Johnathan Hegarty and David Gutierrez, for 10 months starting on 1 February until 1 December 2016; Basilicata Link actd as hosting organization and Bryson Charitable Group (UK) and Asociación Mojo de Caña (Spain) as sending organisations.The two volunteers will be involved in promotion and diffusion activities, through meetings, infodays, seminars and non-formal education activities, of the European Program Erasmus+ reaching youth, organizations and public bodies of the Region of Basilicata. The project aims to create mayor European awareness between youth and local institutions, looking forward to year 2019, when Matera will be European Capital.Activity 2 – meeting of youth workers, nr of participants: 10, , representatives of the two sending organizational and other organizations interested in the development of EVS projects: Integration För Alla (Sweden), Intercultura (France), Comune di Craco (Italy), Fundacja Rozwoju Spoleczenstwa Przedsiebiorczego (Poland). With this meeting, which will be hold from 17 to 20 November 2016, the evaluation of the already done EVS projects will be realized and used as starting point for discussions so to create a base for future collaboration for the following years. Through the project “Torwards 2019” B-Link wants to provide to all young people involved (European volunteers and local youth) learning opportunities and growth, in a Region rich in contrasts between cultural ferment and backwardness such as closing diversity. The overall project will have an impact on the learning process of the volunteers, the organizations involved and the entire local community of Basilicata, it admires to be a start of a virtuous process in approaching young people and institutions on themes and methodologies of the Erasmus +, so to contribute in the broader project of Matera 2019.
