The concept of the modern tourism meets not only concrete logical needs but most of all corresponds to the processes of forming of the consumers identity. The discovery of a locality in the modern tourism is accompanied by the need for an inner adventure that has to correspond to the inner consumers needs, for example the need for authenticity or a total dive in new cultures by a multi-sensor adventure – to a complex search for advantages. Based on the well known in the tourist marketing strategic plan LoCus – an acronym, meaning the Local Cultural System (sistema locale culturale), i.e. one geographic region having the potential to meet the consumer demand for a certain market target by the means of common values, cultural resources and territory, the present project focuses on forming of some kind of cross-border LoCus based on the common for Bulgaria and Macedonia historical events, customs and traditions. Achievements: 1. Installation of equipment and software through supply of system of 8 stationary info-terminals positioned in the towns of Kyustendil (4 info-terminals), Stip (2 info-terminals) and Kriva Palanka (2 info-terminals). By specialized software the info-terminals manage and update a database of tourist spots - infrastructure, sights, destinations in the region, etc. Electronic platforms/ info-terminals, connected in a network by specialized software enables easy searching (by a touchscreen monitor) for information on the tourist sights in the region, including photos and description of the offers, 24 hours a day. The info-terminals also enables making of real (by integrated info-telephone) and online reservations. The system include special info-media for a more complex and detailed presenting of the region and the available tourist services.2. Elaborated study identified potential inputs (tourist spots, entities and places) that are input in the database of the info-terminals. New ICTs data-base includes: 150 SMEs involved/addressed, accommodation, club and restaurants, natural attractions, cultural - historical sites, cultural calendar for the three municipalities;3. Increased cross - border movement of people and exchange of goods and services in the region through: installed system of 8 stationary info-terminals, statistic from SMEs in the region and included in the database in the info-terminals, feedback information from register users account in the info-terminals.
