Our Foundation has been operating since 1998, for 17 years in Szekszárd and its surrounding region. Our mission is to improve the physical and mental life of those people who live in the neighbourhood. We would like to help the child and adult population of the region by introducing them the harmonic ways of life. We assist them by teaching physical and mental health in their everyday life.
It is achieved in several concrete forms, through the activities and institutions of the Foundation:
- operating 10 family daycares (groups of 7, from the age of 1 to 6 and 7-14)
- operating a primary school with small classes (15 pupils/class)
- organising summer and winter children’s camps
- organising sport and other free time activities
- lifestyle meetings, events
- family days (100-150 participants)
The family daycares make it possible for parents to go to work or have safe care of their children. It is also really advantageous for the children because they are looked after more carefully (max. 7 children) so their personalities are formed better. The primary school pupils are helped with their homework, as well. The Foundation strives to assist parents in childcare and family life. We keep active contact with them, have common activities so we build mutual trust. With the help of the common activities we can create communication that provides information to the parents about childcare, family life and handling conflicts.
Furthermore, we frequently co-operate and take an active part in the events of our partner organisations, for example the hiking hurdle-race of GEMENC TSE, Challenge Day, Zöldtárs Foundation and the movement of the local government in which children and adults make the different areas of the town cleaner together, to set an example to other citizens.
From the above, it can be seen that our Foundation participates in a wide variety of activities, and our target groups range from the age of 1 to senior citizens.
We want the volunteers involved in this.
There are 15 people employed full-time in our organisation, whose work is frequently assisted by 10-15 volunteers. They are nannies, nursery school teachers, accountants, physiotherapists, teachers, lawyers, so our foundation ranges various professions. Our spoken foreign languages are Russian, English, German and French. The mentor frequently looks after the volunteer’s mental and physical needs and also follows her development. As we work with people on a daily basis, it does not mean a big challenge for us.
The main activities of the project, and available in a year short and long term goals, tasks and competencies summarized in a table attached as EVS.doc annual plan, which is another point though is buckled, but we believe that this table is what a detailed breakdown by months include the expected activities and the attainment of developmental areas.
