The partnership entitled “ToGether foR a bEtter EnvironmeNt- GREEN" had as main objectives the acquirement of environmental awareness and the development of pro-active attitudes towards pollution associated problems. The participating countries were Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia, Turkey and Spain. Students (aged 6-15) were involved in activities that made them acquire knowledge on both their country’s and the whole European environment. They developed skills in ICT, foreign language(s), book reading and creative arts as these were the means students used to express their views and feelings about environment. Teachers gained insight on different educational systems, exchanged ideas about pedagogical approaches, exercised foreign languages and practiced ICT skills. The final products were a presentation with the title "Introducing ourselves", a presentation with the title "Enviromental problems of our country" and a presentation with the title "Indigenous plants and animals". Additionally, students made crafts, wrote slogans, poems and a fairy tale for saving the environment. Moreover, they made a table calendar with paintings, hats, T-shirts and bags on which a painting of the environment was printed. Finally, they made a photo album, a dictionary and a leaflet with "Ten rules for saving the environment".The partnership was monitored and evaluated during the two years through discussions during meetings, emails and periodical evaluations by means of questionnaires addressed to students, teachers and community members. The results of the partnership were disseminated to the local and the wider educational community through newspapers articles describing the activities and the final products.
