Context of project: New skills and knowledge to improve teaching and language skills, new possibilities to network in face to face contactcs during the training course. New skills and knowledge to global education and to the organisation of teaching and learning as general in Lyseon lukio.
Objectives of project: to improve social dialogue skills, language skills, to find new educational methods, to find new ideas to entrepreneurial learning, to find new methods to use ICT in teaching, to network with European teachers.
Number and profile of participants: 7 teachers; 2 English teachers, 1 Spain teacher, 1Swedish teacher, 1 teacher of Visual Arts, 1 teacher/principal and 1 teacher in the global education team in Lappeenrannan Lyseon lukio.
Description of activities: 3 teachers would like to participate in English language courses , one teacher in English language and visual arts course, 1 teacher in Spanish culture and language course, one teacher in How to make your school more international and 1 teacher/principal in English language course including staff competences, school management, entrepreneurship and modern technology at school.
Methodology in carrying out the project: to participate in the courses, to inform other teachers and principals after the courses, to inform also teachers in other schools in Lappeenranta, to write articles if needed and if possible.
Result and impact: Good English skills, new teaching skills, new networked teachers in our school with European teachers. new ideas to use ICT at school, new ideas to global education, motivated teachers in inspireing other teachers to participate in teacher training with European teachers.
Long term benefit: Lappeenrannan Lyseon lukio is a strong trainer. Our teachers and students understand how important it is to study languages, to improve social skills, to network. We want to inspire and to encourage our students and teachers to do their best and to work together. The most important is that you want to learn and to improve yourself. Life is learning to learn!
