THROUGH A STRONG EDUCATIONAL INTERNATIONALIZATION POLICY IN SCHOOL

The rate of dropout and negative attitudes of students and parents to school is quite high due to the service category of the region and field where school locates. School has local successes and students who took degree in various social local competition and activities however this isn’t enough to change the rate of early dropout and negative attitudes of parents towards school. Consequently to overcome these problems educational internationalization development has become a crucial need for our school. On the other hand recent changes in authority done by Ministry of National Education and rotation of educational personnel have led a withdrawal in performing strategic objectives and missions Main objectives of this project — To make the school an attractive life learning center to prevent the negative attitudes of students and parents — To make a school which teachers, parents and students prefer — To provide different experience and broaden the horizon of students, parents and teachers with the promising international projects and activities — To strengthen the European and international dimension of school — To make a sustainable European Development Plan in short and long term for strategic development — To place the school national and international position where it deserves by doing successful national and international projects — To assume the title “Project School” which is the new application of MNE (MEB) — To create high-quality learning outcomes — To meet the weakness and needs pointed in the Total Quality Management and Strategic Development Plan — To contribute the innovation of education system in long term by developing international policies — To make our school a good model in our region — To contribute the quality of education and professional competences of personnel in European standards — To catch up with the EU standards in the quality of education and professional competences of personnel — To develop quality of language competences of teachers and students by making KA1-KA2 and eTwinnig projects — To set up an Erasmus+ commission which has high quality of language competences, are experienced in educational internationalization development, know European education systems and capable of training the educational staff about these issues To reach these objectives, in Eramus+ KA1 “THROUGH A STRONG EDUCATIONAL INTERNATIONALIZATION POLICY IN SCHOOL” has been prepared and applied to related courses which are consistent with the main objectives to meet the strategic needs and weakness Project consists of 3 parts 1. To train Erasmus+ commission members in educational internationalization from A-Z to develop school’s European Dimensiom Course applied for this objective ”How to Make Your School More International” 2. To develop the basic language competences and skills of Erasmus+ commission members which play the key role in internationalization works Courses applied for this objective ”English For Educators and Administrative Staff A1” ”English For Educators and Administrative Staff B2” 3.To ensure the professional development of educational personnel and put in practice the learning outcomes and competences acquired in internationalization and language courses Courses applied for this objective “Best Practices Benchmarking” “Structured Study Visit to Schools/Institutes & Training Seminar in Ireland” Each logistic detail service provided by courses have been checked very carefully in course searching period Participants consist of 11 people. They are Erasmus+ commission members and teachers, principal and vice-principals who are capable or working with Erasmus+ commission and want to improve their professional competences
