PROJECT
FINISHED
This project takes place in a cooperative company focused on education for sustainable development. An awareness and information centre as well as an atypical hosting centre is being created. Volunteers are very important for us: they are bringing a special atmosphere to our team thanks to their energy, diversity and contribution.
Within this project we would like to host two short-term EVS volunteers in July and August to support our team in communication and animation activities.
Following our commitment to increase youth employability, our goal is to promote an intercultural exchange and a mutual enrichment between the volunteers and our centre, allowing volunteers to live a new experience in a foreign country that will bring them personal and professional enrichment.
Volunteers are expected to be interested in nature and environment and willing to participate in the life of the camping. Volunteers will be invited to participate in a wide range of activities, tailored for each of them around the following tasks:
- environment awareness actions and nature preservation activities;
- promote of exchanges and intercultural learning, non-formal education and Erasmus+ programme;
- communication to develop ecologic and sustainable tourism, greeting customers and internal communication.
Volunteers will be participating in the daily life of the camping, cleaning common toilets and showers and preparing staff lunch at midday.
The methodology used is based on experiential learning, to let volunteers learn by observing and doing in a non formal environment. Volunteers will be able to deep their skills and knowledge with the expertise of the staff at the camping in their area of interest. In exchange they will offer their time and work to help the environmental awareness centre developing.
