Think Beyond the Business is a training course for those youth workers who would like to make an impact in the context of global learning and raise awareness of social business among young people. The training course is built on the idea of multiplication effect during training through participatory, dialogue-oriented and experiential methodologies and based on the needs of the target groups of our partners. The objectives of the project are based on the EU2020 strategy and the European framework for cooperation in the youth field (2010-18). Within the training course we will provide participants with a set of tools and skills for global learning with youngsters as understanding the global development issues is the first step towards a social business. Moreover we will enhance the understanding of a social business, encourage participants to challenge the subject with their questions in order to get a full understanding of the concept: What are the differences between entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship? How do I turn my initiative into a business? How can I influence the society with my newly established business? What are the risks of founding my own project? Are there any grants available at the European level? The aim of the project “Think Beyond the Business” is to answer all those questions but also to address the mayor social challenges of our societies, to present best practices from Austria and around Europe, to develop examples of sustainable business plans that carry social benefit with participants and to build awareness of social entrepreneurship and educate future leaders. Moreover, during the training course, we would like to introduce the participants with the European Social Business Initiative as well as the Regulation on European Social Entrepreneurship Funds. During the breakout sessions the participants will have the opportunity to creatively define social challenges, generate first social business ideas together and make networks of people with similar social business ideas and aspirations.
