The partnership intended to find most of and about the therapies with animals that are used for disabled people, among the partners, in their countries and also around Europe (and not only!). We have looked for the correct therapeutic methods, the places where they are used, the resources needed and the ones available, the organizations working in the filed. The information was put on a CD in all the national languages of the partners, as well as in English, and on a dedicated web page: http://euanimaltherapy.europole.org/ . During two years we have worked together and on each partner's country to collect all the information. Also, during the meetings we have shared and presented our way of doing the animal therapies. We have seen the horse therapy in Hungary, Turkey and Romania (also with a presentation from USA), the dog therapy in Italy and Romania, other pet therapies in Turkey. We also had the chance to witness and try the dolphin therapy and activities in Turkey. The project can lead to new therapies applied in the rehabilitation of disabled people, in new services provided and accredited by the partners and also in the involvement of the parents/ families in the therapies of the disabled people.
