“The Use of Youth Works in Development” is an 8 days training course about development, community development and youth works under Erasmus+ programme for youth workers who come from different parts of Europe and neighbours.
Youth of any country is the future of that nation hence they can play a major role in development work. But the potential of youth & youth workers as contributors to development is insufficiently acknowledged in domestic and international development policies. So, that is why we would like to work with development issues and youth works. We strongly believe that youth works can contribute significantly to the development. So, we would like to increase the competences of youth workers to support and empower youth with the help of this training course.
We have planned to use non formal education methods for our training course. We will have interactive workshops such as role plays, simulations, theatres, presentations, working in small groups as well as field visits and case studies. The project also will be the opportunity to enhance exchange, partnership and co-operation. Participants will be responsible for own learning process. Nevertheless, several creative methods will be provided for them in order to assess their learning process and learning outcomes.
The project is going to be held on 1-8 March 2015 in Antalya, Turkey. We will be totally 29 youth workers coming 9 countries: Turkey, Ireland, Romania, Greece, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Egypt and Palestine.
