The „TRYbes“ youth exchange held in Blansko, Czech Republic between 15.9 - 23.9 2015, that hosted 30 young people from Latvia, Turkey, Lithuania, Romania and Czech Republic. The project was targeting today’s subculture sphere. The name of the project refers to various tribes, subcultures and alternatives; and possibility of trying them out (TRY). Since we believe, that there are many neglected areas in youth social awareness, particularly in ability to orientate oneself in today’s ambivalent, fast transformative society. Idea of The „TRYbes“ project leans on broadening our social perspective in terms of not just consuming mainstream trends, but also enriching ourselves thanks to various social or interest groups. This project did not just provide participants with theoretical information, but more importantly let them practically experience various lifestyle, artistic and creative approaches. Each day consisted of both information and experience parts. Group alsointroduced their level of awareness and subjective picture of each subculture. Leaders along with the team presented their country perspective as well, so we realized different social and cultural environment. Daily activities were naturally based mainly on methods of non formal education.
