The overall objective of the project is to offer the strategy of protection and revitalisation of the hinterland areas which includes several aspects (cultural and natural resources) and connects the experiences from Croatia and Italy regarding the existence of the sustainable models in natural and cultural heritage management.Activities in the project which will be implemented in the area of Split Dalmatia County and in the area of Italian regions are as follows:Infrastructure works:• Settlement of trekking, cycling and hiking paths along the Cetina River in order to improve the tourist offer of the area, settlement of the signalisation and settlement of small belvederes• Settlement of the part of fortress Klis• Settlement of trekking, cycling and hiking paths in the area of Italian regions involved in the project implementation (Basso Biferno and Sinello)• Settlement of the so called interpretative centre in one of the historical fortresses in the area of Italian regions involved in the project implementation (Basso Biferno and Sinello)Other activities:• Unification of the tourist offer of the area (networking of the producers of the traditional gastronomy products, accommodation facilities etc.)• Setting up of 6 project info points (Split, Vrlika, Šestanovac, Trilj, Dugi Rat, Zadvarje)• Collection of data regarding the tourist offer of the area including the natural and cultural heritage, digitalisation of data and uploading the data at info-portals• Organisation of seminars for the entrepreneurs in the tourist sector and other stakeholders in the tourist sector
