The youth exchange THE PERFECT MATCH - Sharing Skills to face Boundaries, will be held in the small village of Bagnoregio (VT), in Italy and will last 8 days. The project will host 28 participants from Italy, Belgium, Spain and Switzerland. The main aim of the project is to overcome the exclusion of young people from having effective access to trans-national mobility, active citizenship, empowerment and inclusion in society. The specific aim is to tackle, from the perspective of young people with and without disability, the topic of disability and to find new interactive ways to activate forms of participation and active citizenship using artistic methodology. We foresee to create a mixed ability group, where part of the group will be composed by youth with visual impairments. Participants will share positive experiences of working, playing and simply being together, breaking down barriers and taking on challenges. The theme of disability will be touched not in a directly way, but in the sense of experimenting the obstacles, both for able and disabled participants. Music and dance will be the tools used during the exchange to focus on youth skills linked to creativity and entrepreneurship. At the end of the week is foreseen a final event where participants will be able to presents the results of the week with a special exhibition. An interactive methodology, based on non-formal education, will be proposed for the whole duration of the project: participants will exchange information and knowledge horizontally, with a peer to peer approach.
