The more I see you - the surplus value of minorities
Start date: May 1, 2008,
The project "The more I see you - the surplus value of minorities", is a youth congress for young people from autochthonous, national minorities in Europe and will be held in the Danish/German border region. The minorities there see themselves as important political, cultural, linguistic and commercial factor. The border region is known as a model for protection of minority, a friendly togetherness and for the active involvement of minorities in socio-political and socio-economic challenges. The main idea of the congress "The more I see you - the surplus value of minorities" is inspired by a study about the added value of minorities in the German-Danish border region, that has been made by the European Academy EURAC in Bozen/Bolsano, Italy, and which was requested by the government of Schleswig-Holstein.To experience and undergo these complex relations we have chosen to make use of the method of a simulation (role-play), in which all the participants of the congress will be involved. The congress will take place at the Landbrugsskole in Gråsten from 6-12 May 2008, and 114 participants will be attending the congress during the full duration.
