Theme: The theme of the training is ‘arts and cultural development’ between European NGO’s. The training will develop key skills and competencies of youth arts practitioners and unemployed volunteers in order to develop, plan and deliver future action 1 and 4.3 projects that use the arts as the tool to unlock and make relevant the priorities of the YIA programme, (citizenship, cultural diversity, participation and inclusion) for young people from disadvantaged and minority backgrounds. Objectives: At the end of the training participants will have gained the knowledge and skills needed to engage young people in the process of developing future projects, using ‘the arts’ as a tool to explore the programmes priority areas. The participants will be given a framework of how to approach the different phases of project development with young people. The training will use non formal methodologies, drawing on the experience of the participants within youth arts and the cultural fields. The venue will be Toxteth TV studios in Liverpool, United Kingdom. There will be 44 participants. The project will last for six days in total, with participants from the United Kingdom, Portugal, Netherlands, Turkey, France, Hungary, Norway, Greece, Poland, Spain.
