The European Gateway
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2019 PROJECT  FINISHED

The training organisations involved in the European programs have good command of the implementation of mobility for the apprentices or the trainees of continuous studies. However many of them encounter difficulties and reluctance to increase the number of mobility and to impact the insertion of the recipients. Our project aims so that each partner, apprentice, trainee, employers or tutors, place of internship, formative team profit by these mobilities. It is a question of driving the apprentice / trainee more active and responsible for the transfer of professional good practices between the companies of sending (national) and the companies of reception (European). This one becomes RESPONSIBLE to transmit. It is a question of better taking into account the apprentice / trainee and the company in what they are and what they want to allow the success of all and to improve the impact of this experiment. For this purpose we will lead an innovating experimentation where the apprentice or trainee will be the active vector RESPONSIBLE for the transfer of competence, professional techniques between two companies IMPLIED in the teaching process. The young person creates a gateway between two actors who rarely know each other whereas it is convenient to open the employers with the wealth of their European pars. This project will be carried and led by 8 experienced partners divided in 5 countries (France, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria and Spain).2 authorities of piloting and operational to lead this 34 months project: - A transnational Steering committee - A national Technical committeeThese 2 authorities are guarantors of the good progress of the project: realization of the activities, administrative and financial management, dissemination and communication, evaluation and measurement of the impact. Our project will proceed from September 2016 to June 2019 in 4 stages: 1. The implementation of the method “European Gateway” by a collective reflection, mutualisation of the tools. This phase will produce a Toolkit, a formation for the teaching staffs and another for the companies implied in the observation and the analysis of the transfer, the extension of tool LEFE (Certification of the companies of sending and reception). 2. Training of the actors (tutors and companies) who will be brought to lead the experimentation.3. The experimentation of the transfer’s process with 40 mobilities of apprentices – trainee minimum for 2 weeks duration in the countries partners.4. The assessment, analysis, valorisation of the project and its dissemination with national seminars and an international symposium. Thus we will have produced the supports necessary to an increase of the approach: - A toolkit with its downloadable cards and the formations formalized and tested (the unit translated into 6 languages). - A platform LEFE 2.0 which is assigned with the mission of pointing the transfers and to label the companies of sending and reception. - A corporate network – trainers “pilot” and reducing. The direct public targeted are the 4 main actors of international mobility, namely: - Apprentices/trainees themselves which will be in the centre of the project and the vectors of the link between all. - Companies of sending and reception. - Pedagogical teams. Then the mobilized public obligatory for the good implementation of the project will be:- Professional network heads, Clubs of the companies - Teaching manager of our ministries - Territorial representatives and elected officials in link with Europe, the Formation and the Economy. In the short run, it is expected that: - We had a different view from mobility aiming to include all the actors in the approach of formation and at offering a real appreciation with each one. - A network of labelled companies, which are “spokesperson” of the interest of this experiment.- The training organizations have arguments (to raise the brakes to the mobility) and tools of recognition and validation of “mobility competences” for all the actors: learning, companies, trainers. - A better explanation of the experiment of mobilityIn the long run, the impacts considered are: - Apprentices/trainees more willing to analyse, criticize, propose and to commit themselves in their mobility in order to capitalizing additional competences which will improve their opportunities of post formation insertion - Increase of the number of mobility for the apprentices and the trainees - Improvement of the internship Quality - Companies more implied in the teaching and mobility actions - Companies and young people turned towards the innovation and opened with the changes - Partnerships renewed between companies and actors of the formation
