Universities and schools are interested in contributing to the preservation of region's biodiversity and solving environmental challenges. Project partners will investigate the preserved green landscape objects and ways of accumulating the collection of vanishing plants, creating a seed bank for returning plants to the nature. Project will create a collection of useful environment items from Zemgale region (the collection of useful natural resources and plants collected during the research). Exhibition of created collections will become the ethno-botanic contribution to the cognition and preservation of the region's distinctive identity. Project also aims at raising public awareness and understanding of diverse plant population of Zemgale region and encouraging people to contribute to the preservation of plants by engaging in various environmental education activities and interactions. Complex challenges shall be addressed with attractive tools like expositions, eco-campaigns, seminars, public lectures, traditional and special festivals, TV shows.
