CONTEXT/BACKGROUND OF PROJECT;
There is an evident need for additional qualifications and training in area of medicine and nursing. For people working in field appropriate training modules and concepts would complement existing training regimes and would improve career prospects and mobility as well as delivering significant sustainability benefits.
For the achievement of the above mentioned aims the partners will organise and implement a two-weeks training which will take place in Macedonia with the strong and responsible cooperation of our host partners that provide high-level care for patients from different parts of Macedonia. The offer by the Macedonian partner is matching the needs of our school. We want to expand our knowledge in the field of nursing and after the completion of this practical training the school intends to continue and enhance the international cooperation such as this one.
OBJECTIVES OF YOUR PROJECT;
With the successful completion of the training, the participants will:
• know to deal with patients in better and more advanced manner;
• introduce participants to the process of planning and management of a complex like the one that we will visit;
• get much needed experience in time management;
• know to describe a patient’s medical current state and history in a foreign language;
NUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS;
This project will include 35 participants in total. The number of students will be 30 and the other 5 will be support teachers from our school that will be accompanying them during their stay in Macedonia.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES;
The activities will focus on the proper preparation of participants tackling all relevant aspects such as linguistic, cultural and pedagogical preparations. Also the preparation will focus on acquiring all necessary logistical aspects such as travel and accommodation arrangement and also travel insurance for the selected participant – students and accompanying staff.
The activities that the students will be doing during their stay in Macedonia will provide proper practical training in a well structured and organized environment that will allow them to get a sense of working in a busy and serious medical institution.
METHODOLOGY TO BE USED IN CARRYING OUT THE PROJECT;
We will be using open, inclusive and interactive methodology that allows for each participant to have the possibility to take part and be equally included. We will especially focus on the students that have lower level or confidence but show strong results in order to support them to take more and stronger initiative and utilize the possibilities that are open for them.
