A. J. Inter (Spanish NGO) coordinates a multilateral youth exchange that will be implemented in Argos Orestiko, Greece where 37 youngsters aged between 20-25 years old from Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Spain, and Portugal are going to participate. The ten days programme will be realized on 26/04- 6/05/2013. The title of the project is "THE ART OF PEACE" that refers to the cultural pathways to overcome conflicts between European neighbouring countries. Indeed, art and culture could build a bridge between European countries and lead to friendship and peace. Discovering our differences but mainly focusing on the similarities could understand better other nations' culture and tradition & feel European above all. We aim at:- promote European citizenship awareness- improve relations between countries by highlighting the cultural similitude and the beauty of artistic diversity. - acknowledge/ understand the source of conflict.- present the richness and interdependence of culture and art, as a common European heritageIn general, we would like to promote young people's active citizenship and develop solidarity & tolerance among young people. The working methods include games to know each other, to make one group, for cooperation & trusting, traditional games, workshops on cultural themes (dancing, music, gastronomy...), group dynamics on European awareness & resolution of conflicts, debates. A variety of activities to promote non- formal learning, active involvement of participants in the European dimension, attending to the different youngsters’ needs & profile (including fewer opportunities' youngsters). The current project will help them to acquire new skills, knowledge, & attitudes like group work national/multicultural, creativity, understanding interculturality & European citizenship, tolerance & respect.
