"The active are living more attractive 5A" is an EVS project for 5 volunteers from 2 countries: Ukraine, Germany. The activities take place in two hosting organisations, which are Gimnazjum 34 and Przedszkole Publiczne nr 27 in Szczecin. The main goal of the project is to promote diversity of volunteering service (working with kids and youth, taking part in Tandem Meetings), which for many means only helping. Through the project and work in hosting organisations we would like to show to the volunteers and people related to the project that volunteering is not only about helping others, but also about doing interesting, active things and investing in yourself. The other goal is to gain and develop key competences through working in a non-goverment organisation and work with kids in public institutions. Everyday's tasks and challenges would show them how to solve problematic situations in a foreign country, how to work with kids, how to work with people from many different countries. We believe that all those things are possible thanks to non-formal education. The non-formal education is very important. All the challenges and tasks of the volunteer give the possibility to learn how to: communicate with others, how to express feelings and thoughts in different languages, how to organize events and implement ideas. We plan to have lots of workshops, practical exercises, games and meetings.
