PROJECT
FINISHED
“THANKS…is enough” is international youth exchange, which will gather 38 young people from six European countries (Romania, Lithuania, Slovakia, Italy, Turkey and Czech Republic) aged between 18 – 25 years. The gender balance will be ensured, working language of all the activities is English. Each participating country will be represented by five participants and one team leader. Youth exchange will take place in Blansko, Czech Republic between 1st - 10th July of 2016. The Advance Planning Visit, where we’ll prepare every single aspect of the exchange together with team leaders, will take place in the same venue between 28th - 29th May of 2016.The idea of the project is a result of several past follow-ups from previous projects held in summer 2015. At that time, we have started to observe people around us and their behavior. How often they are polite and act using the basics good manners? How often the people, we are doing something for them, appreciate our work at least by saying “Thank you”? And if this is such a problem, how the interpersonal relations look like? And how we could be able as society to manage intercultural relations? How can we be tolerant and show respect and solidarity to the others? Aren’t the good manners basis for these issues, aren’t they the first key to succeed? Such questions the project is solving, for such phenomena it is trying to find solution. All the activities covering above named topic with its subtopics are based on methods of non-formal and informal education, and they are designed while application of various techniques as discussions (passion walk, silent discussion etc.), workshops, presentations, simulation games, role plays, spiced by funny energizers, games, sportive activities or theatre. The program will logically go through above mentioned issues – good manners as basis of everything we are doing in our lives, continuity with interpersonal relationships, followed by intercultural relations and current behavior across the European society and their interconnection to phenomena as tolerance and respect. Objectives of the project could be summarized as:- To point out the importance of good manners as essential component of daily life within the society.- To discuss essential human values and their importance and essentiality. - To motivate young people to act properly and actively for wellbeing of whole society. - To use ethics and sound judgment while existing in current world full of contradictory aspects. - To increase understanding and respecting of intercultural differences. - Awareness of EU and their programs with their possibilities not only for youngsters. - To increase personal competencies of participants, e.g. communication in foreign language, ability to work in international teams or basic knowledge of creating various outcomes, e.g. videos.- To provide a meeting of different cultures and different personalities from various European countries, learning from this diversity as well as similarities, making contacts and friendships across the Europe. The main result is better understanding of interpersonal and intercultural issues, being more tolerant, because at least according to daily news from all Czech Republic, tolerance is today something between forgotten and swear word. Isn’t it necessary to go back to the roots – to ethics and basics of good manners to be able to be tolerant, fair and valuable for society?Project will be quite rich for outcomes – right on the beginning we’ll receive short essay on the topic of the project from each participant, as it will be integral part of the application form. Later we’ll add individual messages from all participants, in which they will express their gratitude for small things or important values in their lives. Most valid and elaborated outcomes will be, however, the video outcomes promoting our topics and some of their possible solutions. As illustration may be seen video created for the purposes of this project – the THANKS teaser (https://goo.gl/HV3Ea0). We’ll also have professional photographer to document project photographically. These outcomes will be presented on public event, which will be held in asylum house of SOZE in Brno, with which we’ve already cooperated. Next to the public event we’ll use mainly internet tools as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and other informational channels, we’ll write several articles and post them to servers as Eurodesk. All the outcomes will be collected on special web page intended only to this youth exchange and interconnected with main web page of Brno for you. Partner organizations will also help us to disseminate project results in their regions and countries.Character of provided information is totally transparent and applicable when considering different target groups according to age, occupation or belief, as we are all on the same boat when looking at current situation around us, no matter which part of the Europe we are from.
