Flanders, Nord-Pas de Calais and the Somme have a well-developed world-class marine industry. The textile industry, on the other hand, also represents a significant share in the area. So far there has been nostructural contact between both sectors.In order to fill this gap, the partners explore and facilitate opportunities to develop innovating textile products for marine applications with and for the businesses of both regions. The partners aim to make the area a European leader in these sectors in the medium and long terms.
